ABOUT LIFE
The mission of DKG California Learning Is For Everyone (LIFE) Foundation is to promote and support special projects related to learning and literacy within the state of California.
The DKG California LIFE Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation established in 1999.
Every member of DKG California is a member of the LIFE Foundation and eligible to serve on the Board of Directors.
The DKG California Learning Is for Everyone Foundation is dedicated to advancing learning and literacy that is fair and inclusive for all children in California. We embrace the state’s diversity and work to ensure our efforts provide opportunities that uplift all individuals. Our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion enhances the impact of the mission of the LIFE Foundation.

Making A Difference
PROMOTING LITERACY
The LIFE Foundation is dedicated to promoting and supporting classroom, school, and community based special projects related to learning and literacy. Through funding these innovative projects, The Foundation helps teachers and chapters touch the lives of children throughout California.
Chapters, as well as individuals (members and non-members), are encouraged to apply for a grant for learning and literacy projects from the DKG California LIFE Foundation. Help LIFE make a difference by applying today. The deadline is March 1. To get started, click on the link below!
Use of LIFE's Tax Exempt Status
The LIFE Foundation offers the use of its Federal Tax Exempt Nonprofit Identification status to qualifying projects and/or events in two ways:
1. Use the Foundation's Tax Exempt Number (EIN) to obtain discounts to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
2. Use LIFE's tax exempt status to hold a fundraiser. All donors can make tax deductible donations to The LIFE Foundation to support your learning and literacy project.
For both of these uses, an application must be submitted. To be approved these projects must align with the mission of The LIFE Foundation. Only DKG California members, chapters, and areas may apply.

Give LIFE Support
Monetary donations are by far the largest contributor to LIFE's funding. Individual, chapter, area, and non DKG members' monetary donations are vital to support LIFE's mission. Donations can be made in honor or in memory of individuals or in honor of events or celebrations. As a 501(c)(3), donations to DKG California Learning Is For Everyone (LIFE) Foundation are tax deductible.
